New projects

What makes Imilingo stand out from the crowd is the ability to match different business requirements of each client by providing a custom service resulting in a fit-for-purpose sorting system.

Our service includes the complete project life cycle, from business concept through to execution. We offer options to rent or procure outright our bespoke sorting systems.

Imilingo offers guidance at the very early stages of a new opportunity and can assist in assessing the viability of a project by doing a desktop study. This is done by applying industry knowledge and matching the technical solution to your business needs. Our focus is on providing a complete solution to ensure that your project is set up for success from infancy through to a mature operation.

Imilingo Project Approach

A project consists of various steps and includes the Capital Outlay (CAPEX) required as well as the Operational Cost (OPEX) of a project to arrive at the Investment required to ensure long term success.

Imilingo’s project management approach coupled with technical know-how and expertise provides a very solid foundation for efficient planning and executing of projects.

The first step in planning a project is to undergo a technical and financial desktop study to ascertain whether a certain resource can be translated into profit when taking relevant technical and business factors into account. The outcome of the study will provide clear guidelines on the viability of a project as well as a phased approach to start the path to a successful project.

Any resource holds a certain potential and requires processing technology to unlock the potential. We have specific experience in sensor based sorting solutions for Diamonds, Coal and Tungsten and can also develop and test processes for other commodities. We provide specialised knowledge around the logistical challenges faced in the African mining environment and are ideally situated in South Africa to support projects throughout the African Continent.

Imilingo Business Development

It is often required to adopt a phased approach to cultivate organic growth and minimise risk.

Imilingo’s modular plant components lend itself to provide a cost effective solution that can be expanded as the business grows and capital investment is realised.

The first step in integrating a sorting solution into an existing processing plant is to understand the process environment. Available process documentation can be reviewed or a site visit performed to obtain the required information. In terms of capturing as-built information, Imilingo offers the service of 3D laser scanning to capture the existing plant and equipment visually and dimensionally to an exceptional level of accuracy. This provides a points cloud (containing all dimensional data) of the existing plant, which is pulled into a CAD system and provides an accurate backdrop for designing of the integration components. Our range of modular plant components are then custom fit to your requirements together with any other equipment that are sourced from the mining industry as and when required. Imilingo prides itself in aligning with reputable partners to supply a complete functional solution.
